I just got the body back from Tony. We did (actually he did) a tobacco burst on the cedar top. I thought he did a dang good job matching the top to the sides and back. Binding is good ole koa. Thanks for looking John ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

WOW, John, that's amazingly beautiful. Beautiful brw and the koa is fantastic with that. Wow, again. Is this the one that you and Steve are doing together? I love the abalone. What a winner!! Ron |

Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words. I always have some trepedation when making aesthetic judgments like bursting a cedar top on brw. Good to hear positive reviews. Ron, this is not the colaborative guitar Steve and I worked on. It is just one that I have a commission on. I would like to show you that collaborative guitar but I am afraid that I let it get away without taking decent pictures. |

Whoa, buddy! Tony treated you right, bro. That looks fantastic. Everything works beautifully together. I'd say your aesthetic senses are firing on all 8. (That may be a mangling of perfectly good metaphors, but you get the drift...) yo bro |

Good choices. I guess that having just built a BR/cedar with koa binding I have to say that. But it's true. |

John, What can I say? You know what I think of your guitars, and this one is no exception. Any Kinnaird guitar is a positive addition to the sum total of our craft, and craftsmanship is something you have in spades. The colour pallete blends together so well. The fact that it probably sounds great (the really important bit) is a given. So, all in all, I'll forgive you your small aesthetic abberration ![]() Colin |

Thanks again guys Lance is right about Tony's sunburst finishes. He is skilled enough to make the dark areas translucent, allowing the grain to show through, if that is what you want. I requested just that and he sure did deliver. |

John, you set the bar very high! All I could think of when I saw the pics was WOW! That is a beautiful guitar and I may have to keep the pics around for inspiration. I've been using pics of a Ryan for that, but I think it's time to swap out the pics. Beautiful, just beautiful! |

Yep, same here...I requested translucent, and although my edges are dark, you can see straight through it. Tony is good. |
